Overview
Morgan Law Center for Estate and Legacy Planning is a law firm that focuses on estate, legacy, and business planning, probate and trust administration, and guardianship.

We recognize that when estate and business planning professionals focus solely on financial wealth, they fail to help their clients create and implement plans that reflect and honor the wisdom, experience, and vision such clients desire to leave for their loved ones.

Team Member Profiles

Angie Hunter Cranford, Legal Assistant and Firm Administrator
Angie, our senior team member, has worked for our firm since early 1998. Clients who work with Morgan Law Center quickly learn that Angie is the “go-to” person – she not only has knowledge and experience in almost every aspect of the firm’s operation, she is known for her amazing ability to remember even the most minute details of our clients’ cases.

Presently, Angie serves as the firm’s Legal Assistant and Firm Administrator. Among her many duties, she is responsible for probate and trust administration, document drafting, legal research, and office management. She has completed one year of law school at Florida Coastal School of Law, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Business Management/Human Resources from Saint Leo University, and an Associate of Arts degree, cum laude, in Legal Assisting from Santa Fe Community College. Angie is a Florida Registered Paralegal and a nationally Certified Legal Assistant.

Shana Teems Miller, Trust Funding Coordinator
Shana came to the firm in 2006 with a strong background in client service management, particularly within the insurance industry. As our Trust Funding Coordinator, she is responsible for transferring clients' assets into their trusts, serving as the liaison between our clients and their financial institutions, and ensuring that the assets owned by our Legacy Protection Program clients remain properly titled. Funding and monitoring our clients' estate plans is an enormous job that requires Shana to not only understand the complexities of an continually-growing range of financial assets, but also requires a great deal of patience and persistence. Shana performs this job with great skill and enthusiasm.

Cheryl Morgan, Legacy Planning Coordinator
We were honored to be joined in September 2007 by Cheryl Morgan, a lifelong resident of Lake City and one of the most admired members of our community. Cheryl served in the banking industry for thirty years, gaining knowledge and experience in every aspect of the industry, from administration to management. In 2004 she retired from banking. After overcoming a life threatening illness in 2006, Cheryl emerged from the experience with a strong desire to serve others in a way that would make a profound difference in their lives.

Upon learning that Teresa had decided to establish a position in the firm that focused on helping clients preserve and pass on their heart assets, Cheryl began exploring this typically neglected facet of planning. Cheryl’s unique combination of relationship and listening skills, her business and marketing experience, and her deep and abiding integrity make her ideally suited to serve as the firm's Legacy Planning Coordinator. In 2008, Cheryl became a Certified Legacy Advisor. She also assists in the funding area and handles marketing for the firm.

Natalia Scott, Law Clerk
Natalia joined our firm in May 2009. Born in Poland, she came to the U.S. as a young child and grew up in neighboring Ocala. Natalia earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Philosophy and one in Political Science, from the Burnett Honors College at the University of Central Florida. She is currently in her third and final year of law school at the University of Florida.

As our law clerk, Natalia’s duties include performing legal research, assisting in drafting documents, and participating in client meetings. This past summer, Natalia helped create and launch our much anticipated Family & Legacy Protection Program. This program is targeted toward families with young children and encompasses vital steps parents should take to protect the health and welfare of their family in the event of a medical emergency or the disability or death of a parent. As a newcomer to the legal field, Natalia is very anxious and excited to serve her community.

Dan Morgan Computer Systems Administrator
Dan has been integrally involved in Teresa’s law practice since she opened her own firm in 1997. Among other services, Dan has supervised the renovation of the firm’s office building, and has been solely responsible for the installation, networking, maintenance, and administration of the firm’s computer system.

In November of 2002, after 30 years of service, Dan retired from the the City of Gainesville Fire Department. During that time, he served as a firefighter, paramedic, and hazardous materials specialist and instructor. In addition to his years of fire service, Dan worked for 15 years in the book business, during which time he owned and operated two independent bookstores in Gainesville, Florida.
